School Board Meetings

The Craig County School Board holds regular monthly meetings on the Second Tuesday of each month beginning at 5:30 pm in the Craig County High School Auditorium.

The Craig County School Board uses BoardDocs for meeting agendas, minutes and policy.

There is a dedicated time during each school board meeting for the public to participate and to comment.  If you wish to comment on an agenda item during HEARING OF THE CITIZENS AND DELEGATIONS, please observe the following governing rules.
  1. Please submit a completed Request to Speak form to the Clerk of the Board prior to announcement of the agenda item. (The form is available at the meeting).
  2. When called to the lectern to speak, please state your name and address for the record.
  3. Speakers should limit comments to the agenda item under consideration.
  4. Each speaker will be given a maximum of three (3) minutes to comment unless otherwise provided by the Chairman of the Board.  Speakers may not "give" their time to someone else.
  5. Speakers should limit their remarks so as not to repeat comments of previous speakers.
  6. All comments must be directed to the Board.  Debate between a recognized speaker and audience member is not allowed.
  7. Speakers are requested to leave any written statements and/or comments with the Clerk of the Board.
  8. Recognized speakers and the audience should exercise courtesy at all times.
  9. Additional guidelines and procedures or suspension or modification of the above rules and procedures may be adopted by the School Board as it deems appropriate for the effective, orderly and timely conduct of public hearings.
