There will be a Special Called School Board Meeting Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 11:00am for the discussion of the Superintendent Search Process.
The vehicle accident on Rt. 615 affecting Bus 3 has been cleared and travel is now open.
Bus 3 may be delayed this morning by 10-20 minutes. The Craig County Sheriff’s Office has stated that Rt. 615 is currently closed approximately 2 miles north of the school due to a vehicle accident. Parents and staff should seek an alternate route around this location.

Craig County Public Schools, VA has partnered with the Greater Roanoke Workforce Development Board and Virginia Cooperative Extension to bring a CAREER FAIR to New Castle on Friday, April 11th! It will be held in the CCHS Gym.
Students are encouraged to attend from 1:00 PM - 3:30 PM, and it will be OPEN to the public from 3:45 PM - 4:30 PM.

CCPS would like to welcome our new varsity baseball coach, Jaime Mick!
A little bit about our new coach:
My name is Jaime Mick, I moved here from New Jersey in 2023. I’ve played or coached baseball since I was 4 years old. I won the New Jersey Group IV State Championship in 2015 with the Williamstown Braves and went on to play for the Atlantic Cape Buccaneers. I’ve helped coach for multiple youth travel teams (ages 12-18) and volunteered back at Atlantic Cape. I cannot wait to get started with Craig County and win some ball games!
