This is Jason Wheeler, Superintendent of Craig County Public Schools, with an important announcement regarding Friday's Home Football Playoff Game.

We are excited to announce that our Rockets will compete in the first round of Regional Playoffs this Friday night!
Please note the following important information regarding admission:

Ticket Price: $8 per person (set by the VHSL)

Passes: No staff passes, studnet, or local athletic passes will be accepted. Everyone must pay the $8 fee.

Accepted Passes: Virginia High School League (VHSL) approved passes only

These guidelines are required for all postseason events under VHSL regulations. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation as we host this exciting playoff game in accordance with VHSL policies.

🦃 FFA Thanksgiving Food Drive 🥫

The Craig County FFA is hosting a Thanksgiving Food Drive to help assemble meal kits for local families this holiday season! Donations will be distributed to the Department of Social Services and local church pantries to support those in need.

📅 Drive Dates: November 4th–14th
🍕 Incentive: The class that collects the most items will win a pizza party sponsored by the FFA!

Food donations can be dropped off at the high school office or sent with a student to their last period/block class.

Let’s come together to ensure every family in our community has a warm, delicious Thanksgiving meal. Bring your non-perishable food donations and help make a difference!

First, I’m pleased to share that the plumbing issues have been resolved, and school will reopen on a normal schedule tomorrow. We sincerely appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during this unexpected closure, and we look forward to welcoming our students back to school tomorrow. Second, I’d like to personally invite all stakeholders to attend the Community Cut Score Meeting on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 7:00 PM in the Craig County High School Auditorium. This is a significant statewide change that will affect all students, and your participation is important. During the meeting, I’ll share data projections from Craig County Public Schools, neighboring divisions, and the state, as well as outline the steps we are taking to support the continued success of every student.
