Craig County Public Schools will be on a 2 hour delay for tomorrow Monday, December 11, 2023 due to potential winter weather.

On December 6, 2023, the Craig County Sheriff’s Office alerted Craig County Public Schools that an individual affiliated with the school system had been charged for alleged crimes involving a minor. This individual had periodic access to the school facilities as part of contract services and community events. The individual is not an employee of CCPS and has been banned from all CCPS properties and events due to the nature of the pending charges. An inspection of the schools has been conducted to ensure the safety of all staff and students. No signs of wrong doing were found during this inspection. The Craig County Sheriff’s Department has also confirmed that there was no evidence indicating crimes or risk to public safety involving the schools found during the investigation.
This message is to inform all Craig County students, parents, and faculty that schools will dismiss early on Friday, December 15th at 12:30 pm as we begin the Christmas break. We wish every family a happy and healthy holiday season!
