Dear CCPS Community,

This is a follow-up message regarding the incident from this morning. All students, staff, and the cyclist are safe following this morning's bus incident. Students were assessed by the school nurse prior to going to class, received breakfast, and were not counted absent/tardy.

Once again, everyone is safe and we thank our first responders and the community for their support and patience during this time.

Sincerely,
Dr. Wheeler

Dear CCPS Community,

Today, our classrooms, hallways, and buses were filled with smiles, laughter, and excitement as CCPS welcomed students back to school. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing every student this morning and I am looking forward to a year of growth and greatness.

I want to say thank you to our amazing teachers, staff, and administrators for creating such an awesome first day. To bus drivers, thank you for getting us to and from school safely and to our cafeteria staff, thank you for the wonderful meals.

To our families, thank you for your trust and partnership. We look forward to continuing to work with you this year. And to our students, you are the reason we are here, and we cannot wait to see the amazing things you’ll accomplish this year.

Welcome back to school, and let’s soar to new heights and achieve incredible things!

Sincerely,
Dr. Wheeler

The Rocket Rundown

Beginning this school year, be on the lookout for an additional form of communication from CCPS. Quarterly, or once every nine weeks, the Rocket Rundown will be published to keep our staff, families, and community informed and engaged. Each edition will highlight important updates, celebrate school and student successes, and share upcoming events and initiatives happening at CCPS. Our goal is to promote open communication between CCPS and our school community, and we are thrilled to showcase the great work happening in our schools.
