🎄 Making Christmas Bright for Craig County Children 🎁
Craig County Public Schools is proud to partner once again with the Craig County Department of Social Services to provide Christmas assistance to local families. This year, we have received over 50 applications, representing 109 children in our community. Currently, only half of these children have been sponsored.
If you, your family, business, or organization would like to make a meaningful difference this holiday season, we invite you to consider sponsoring a child here in our community. Your generosity helps ensure every child in Craig County experiences the joy and hope of Christmas.
📩 For more information or to become a sponsor, please contact Gerri VanDyke at gvandyke@craig.k12.va.us
Together, we can make this Christmas a little brighter for every child in our community. 🌟

We love hearing positive feedback from our families — and this one warmed our hearts! ❤️
“This little school is the best! The staff truly get to know your child and they aren’t just a number in the classroom. They care deeply and want every child to be successful. From morning drop-off to afternoon pick-up, there’s always a smiling face and a positive attitude.”
A special shout-out to Mrs. McAllister and Mrs. Whitesell for making such a wonderful impact! 🙌
Mrs. McAllister keeps learning fun and engaging, always encouraging her students to be confident and independent. ✨
Mrs. Whitesell goes above and beyond to connect with her students, offering support and positivity every single day. 💕
Thank you both for helping our students shine! 💙💛

This is a reminder that Craig County Public Schools will be closed on Monday, October 20, 2025, for a Teacher Workday and Parent-Teacher Conferences. The conferences will take place from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Additionally, please see the Rocket Rundown from our superintendent, Dr. Jason Wheeler.
🎉 What a fantastic night at the school board meeting!
🎶An amazing choir performance that filled the room with beautiful harmonies and put smiles on everyone's faces. A huge thank you to our talented students for sharing their voices with us!
We also celebrated the winner of our voter recognition sticker contest! 🏆 It’s truly inspiring to see our community getting involved and making their voices heard. Congratulations to the winner, and a huge thank you to Mrs. JoAnna Ryan for coming and announcing the results!

When one of your high school seniors comes to you looking for help filling out a w-2/w-4 for a job and you know a little but you fear not enough. So you want nothing but the best for your students because well let's face it. You love them. What are you going to do? Hmmm maybe pick up the phone and call Jessica Huffman since she's the finance whiz. Leave it to sweet Mrs. Huffman to drop her previous plans and come as quickly as possible to your student and sit with them hand and hand as they complete the task! Thank you Mrs. Huffman for all you do.
Thank you Mrs. Huffman for always being willing to help no matter what the situation is here at CCPS!
