SHOUT OUT to Erica Crabtree-
Erica Crabtree has made such a positive impact as our elementary PE teacher. She is incredibly creative and always finds new, fun ways to get students active and excited about PE. What truly stands out is her kindness, as she goes out of her way to help others without hesitation. Whether it’s covering classes at the end of the day, giving up her planning time on Thursdays to support coworkers, stepping in when we’re short-staffed, or jumping in to take on extra lunch duties when she notices someone is out—without ever being asked—she consistently looks for ways to lighten the load for those around her. She’s also out on the playground multiple times a week, building relationships with students by playing kickball, football, and basketball right alongside them. On a personal note, she has made a huge difference for my own children—especially one who never loved athletics but now loves PE and is even showing interest in sports because of her. She truly brings energy, heart, and positivity to our school every single day.
Thanks so much, Coach Crabtree, for all you do here at CCPS- We appreciate YOU!!

SHOUT OUT to Sierra Frazier
She truly goes above and beyond every single day. As our high school art teacher, she somehow balances giving her all at school while also being an incredible mom to three young kids at home. Her classroom is a place students want to be—constantly filled with creativity, energy, and a sense of belonging, which says everything about the environment she creates. She takes on so much behind the scenes, from essentially planning and running the homecoming dance each year to managing the CCPS art show. When unexpected staff changes occurred, she stepped up without hesitation to ensure the yearbook was completed, taking on yet another responsibility with grace. She continuously pushes her students to shine, getting their work into multiple contests and even helping make opportunities like the Virginia Tech art gallery showcase a reality. She provides an opportunity for the students of CCPS to have visibility outside of our community. Her lessons are always fun, engaging, and meaningful, and she never hesitates to step in and help others—she would truly give you the shirt off her back. She also shares her talent across the entire school system, helping create meaningful pieces like the McCleary Elementary playground sign. She proudly displays student artwork for the whole school to see and even gives up her personal time to come in and supervise students as they beautify the building with murals. On top of all of that, she is a proud member of the “morale mafia,” constantly working to make CCPS a positive, supportive place not just for students, but for her coworkers as well. She is the definition of dedication, heart, and selflessness, and our school is so much better because of her.
Thanks to Mrs. Frazier for all you do here at CCPS- We APPRECIATE YOU!
